Making A Difference!

Laura has been helping out greatly. She has been donating hats and coats to underprivlidged children who don't get anything for the holidays. She has been cleaning her fish bowl because it contained yucky water and by just doing little things like this make the world a better place. She helps her parents around the home like cooking, including things like chopping mushrooms with her aunt. Some of you might be going to warm tropical places over the winter break however guess what Laura's doing, she's helping her friend Andrew make a difference by volunteering to mail a lot of stuff for the Greater New York State Tourette's Syndrome Association. They are having a fundraiser and they need lables put on about 500 letters.

This makes me think that i can definitley help out around the house more by possibly helping cook dinner, feeding my dogs, washing the dishes. However i can also do more with the community like volunteer work, community service and donating things. This christmas I am going to the lost letter box where kids send letters to santa clause saying what they want and I am going to get the things they want/need and send it to them for the holidays!

Fake Kidnapping mystery

A boy named Evan Trembley is a 15 year old boy who has supposivley been missing for 2 weeks. People have been getting emails about this boy and have been sending it to everyone one to help because of the sad story. However when you look up his name and search on the internet you find out that the kidnapped boy had never actually be kidnapped and that it was a scam to impress his friends. This tells you that you should always double check things you hear before you start spreading things.

When i found out that this kidnapping was fake it really disgusted me that someone would do something this serious just to impress his friends. This fake scandal was not a joke and definitley not funny.

Internet Safefy

Clip One- When you post something on the computer you can't take it off, you may delete it and think it's gone but it's not! Yes this may be scary to think that people you don't even know can see your picture, it scares me too but that's why you should always make your Internet profile pages private so that only you and your friends can see it.

Clip Two- Internet bullying is a terrible habit people think that they can say anything to a person even though they would never say that to someones face! I know that every girl gets in fights especially on I'm and people think they can just say anything i know that it's happened to me and I'm sure it's happened to you too but really people should not do it.

Clip Three- These days some boss's and colleges before hiring or having a student attend, they check out ones facebook or myspace page. In some cases peoples profiles can result in not being hired or not being able to attend the school the want. You should never post pictures of yourself that are inappropriate, having beer in your hand, smoking and other things that you wouldn't want your teachers and boss to see.

It's A Smaller World

The world is becoming a much smaller place. We are able to communicate much easier and we can even communicate with people thousands of miles away.

I can communicate with people by using my cell phone to call people or i can use my cell phone to text people all around the world.

I am also able to communicate easily by the internet. I can use email or i.m. (instant message). Or i can go on websites such as facebook and myspace to communicate fast and easy.
